FAQs

How does Reiki work?

Reiki is a form of bodywork and energy medicine that uses energy channeled through a practitioner's hands to restore health and a sense of wellbeing (while fully clothed.) Reiki has been effective in treating chronic back pain, arthritis, chemotherapy, pre/post surgical procedures, diabetes, depression, anxiety, broken bones, fibromyalgia, and many more!

You actually do not have to believe in Reiki for it to work. Energy is part of our make-up, so when you intend to channel positive, pure, life-force energy into your body, it will heal.

What does Reiki feel like; what are the benefits?

A Reiki treatment is generally a very relaxing and stress reducing experience. By gentle touch of the hand, healing is experienced on all levels. Reiki provides a way to recharge, realign and rebalance our energy fields. It can also be an emotional release. A treatment can cause the release of long held emotions, and blocked energy. One is left with a calm and peaceful feeling. It is a loving, non-invasive form of bodywork that penetrates all forms of matter.

Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit. As Reiki energy enters the body, it boosts the immune system and creates a feeling of radiant calm and wellbeing. Reiki is spiritual in nature, but not a religion.

Who should receive Reiki?

Reiki is for everyone. It is a wonderful, warm, loving energy that leaves a person with feelings of wellbeing, security, and peace.

Can Reiki cure medical conditions?

While Reiki has been known to increase wellness, it is not a substitute for medical treatments.
